Ahmad started his working career in 1984 at Qatar Fertilizer Company (QAFCO) progressing over a span of 13 years from a Mechanical Technician to a Mechanical Project Engineer. In 1997 Ahmad was appointed as the Lead M&E Project Engineer at Water Projects Department at Ministry of Electricity & Water serving for 4 years within which he became the Head of the Department in 1999. In April 2001, Ahmad moved to Qatar National Olympic Committee as the Programme Leader responsible for planning and delivery of some 32 prestigious sports facilities and projects for the Doha 2006 Asian Games. In early 2006 Ahmad was appointed as the Managing Director for a local company, providing multi-disciplinary engineering and construction services, and served for nearly 7 years. Finally, he joined the Public Works Authority in 2013 as the Lead Advisor for Contracts and Project Management supporting some multi-billions infrastructure and building programs, and now he is in charge of the President Technical Office.

Fahad Ibrahim Worked received his PhD from the University of Stirling, U.K. in 2004. His main work focuses on marine and freshwater finfish hatchery techniques and reproduction, training and extension projects and planning research and development and aquaponics. He joined the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, State of Qatar in 2017 as an Aquaculture Expert in the new Aquatic Research Center. In 2019 he joined AGRICO for Agricultural Development working side by side with other agronomists in the company to develop the farming of various crops in high tech hydroponics greenhouses. He is also engaged in developing new farming techniques in Qatar aiming at producing high quality leafy and fruity vegetables. Dr. Fahad also introduced aquaponics at Agrico Qatar. Recently he had contributed significantly in the design, construction, equipping and operation of the first indoor shrimp farm in Qatar and the region operated using biofloc technology (Zero water exchange) at an annual production capacity of 350 tons/year.
